Water Activities for 2024

Wate22021

The Water team spent last year building up the Activities on offer and rebuilding the team post pandemic, so I am pleased to announce, although slightly later than usual, our planned activities can be found here and bookings will start to be opened in the first full week of February. Watch here for the events to appear.

For those wishing to book there will be some changes this year, firstly we are going to be able to offer both Group and Individual bookings for most, if not all events.

Secondly a reminder for those who are booking Groups that you have one month from booking , or the event closure date (whichever is the soonest), to confirm your places by paying the full amount.

All Group participant details are due no later than the event closure date, these should be submitted on the Group summary form and sent with copies of the individual consent forms. Finally we are also increasing the number of participant places wherever possible.

The Water Team

It consists of many qualified instructors who provide a wide range of water-based activities for Scouts and other young people of all ages. They also provide training opportunities for all ages – including for Leaders!

Many of the events are held at Ellerton Lake which is near Scorton (Catterick), but several events are held at other locations in the County during each year.

To book Ellerton Park for events, that are not on the County Calendar, please complete the booking form here and send to the Ellerton Bookings at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Apart from Beavers, for most activities, young people can book directly to attend any event. It isn’t necessary for any of your Leaders or parents to have to attend with you.

Details of the individual events available are on the website. Take a look and see if there is something that appeals to you. Try having a go at something different.
